Every year, the municipal organising committee of Rovereto succeeds in presenting another spectacular handball and football tournament for young people. It starts with the impressive opening ceremony. Before the enormous Peace Bell tolls one hundred times, the participants take the fair play oath and the national anthems of all the participating countries are played. The finals are played in front of full stands. Torneo Cittá della Pace, a real classic in our programme! Valtenesi Teams: 58 Participants ’13-’14: With a view on Lake Garda Playing football on a pitch overlooking the beautiful Lake Garda, better than that? The passionate organizers do even more by festively decorating the sports parks. However, the beautiful scenery is not the only attraction. The tournament takes place a short distance from the hotspots on Lake Garda: popular seaside resorts such as Desenzano, Sirmione and Peschiera are a stone’s throw away just like Gardaland, the largest amusement park in Italy. In short: the Trofeo Valtenesi is more than just football. Winners’14: AC Castellana (IT), AS Valtenesi (IT), JFG RangauWindsbach (DE), AS Valtenesi (IT) Location: Jesolo (Region Venice) U17, U15, U14, U13 and U11 Organizer: Jesolo Turismo S.p.A. & Pol. Palazzina Teams: 50 Participants ’13-’14: ....and Venice is on the opposite side Right from the first time in 2003 the Jesolo Cup was a great success. This is obviously due to the beautiful location near Venice on the other side of the bay. But equally important is the fact that the town Jesolo is an excellent host for the participants, among other things, it organises a lively parade in the city centre and makes the football stadium available for the finals. No wonder that every year teams from different countries appear at the start in Jesolo. If in addition to the attractions of the popular resort of Jesolo you still want to explore Venice by bus boat from Punto Sabbion you are right in the middle of San Marco Square Winners’14: TSV Kottern (DE), Wiener Sportklub (AT), ZTE (HU), Union Mauer (AT), SV Waldperlach (DE), Union Mauer (AT) 13 Pagina 12
