Respect is an essential value of football as a sport open to all. The Respect campaign was launched by the UEFA at the UEFA EURO 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland, with the UEFA President Michel Platini stating: “As the governing body of European football, UEFA has the responsibility to protect the game and its supporters.” Euro-Sportring Foundation was established in the 1960’s with the mission to eliminate boundaries to play the game in order to contribute to the social cohesion of Europe.
