The Promenade with its many attractions and the Pleasure Beach amusement park are particular tourist draws. But at Easter, there is an extra special reason for football lovers to visit Blackpool: the Blackpool Cup. This tournament has been a real top event since 1994. Year in, year out, teams from England, Wales, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland register to play. And the continent is also represented by various countries. The teams come to enjoy the international competition at the beautiful sports complex of Myerscough Juniors – and of course the numerous attractions which this popular resort has to offer. The organisers guarantee a tournament with lots of matches and a fun programme including an opening ceremony and a team leaders’ meeting.
